Now this is funny…
Remember the infamous hat that super producer Pharrell wore to the 2014 Grammy’s? Well, the “Happy” singer and his staple accessory have decided to split, all in the name of charity.
Pharrell’s staple item became the talk of this year’s Grammy’s after Arby’s tweeted Williams asking for their hat back. The hat even earned a Twitter page, where the tall top hat tweeted fans fair well after the news of his sale, saying… “Bye”
Williams took to Twitter to announce the auction:
I’m auctioning off my hat from the Grammys to benefit From One Hand to AnOTHER https://t.co/CsW204Eo4R #PharrellsHat @eBay

Hey @Arbys, you want my hat? Now’s your chance…https://t.co/CsW204Eo4R

We started my hat auction at $200 (the price I paid for it) and it’s already up to over 10K? https://t.co/AgBVQc6mEK

And according to the eBay post, the $10k will go a long way: “All proceeds benefit From One Hand to Another whose mission is to help change the world one kid at a time by giving them the tools and resources to meet their unique potential and empower them to nurture curiosity by learning through new technologies, arts, media and motivation!”
From One Hand to Another is an organization established by Pharrell in 2008 “for the sole purpose of supporting the Pharrell Williams Resource Centers’ (PWRC) learning programs developed for every one of the under-served youth between the ages of 7 and 20 in at risk communities throughout the country.” – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
