Why Olympian Mo Farah collapsed at New York City Half Marathon

Despite passing out at the the six-mile mark, Olympic gold medalist Mo Farah finished in second place at the New York City Half Marathon on Sunday, March 16, 2014.

The British runner, who won two golds at 2012 London Games, fell unconscious finish line due to the chilly conditions; temperatures were just above freezing. The medical staff rushed to his side and escorted him to the sidelines in a wheelchair.
