It didn’t take long for Melyssa Ford to warm up at her recent rolling out cover shoot for a variety of reasons. For starters, the heat was pumping through the vents of our quaint New York financial district studio, in an attempt to ward away the gnawing chill of the day. But then, it was the conversation on the current state of models that really saw Ford heat up. When the former model/video vixen was asked to compare herself to modern day incarnations of models, she was very candid.
“The girls aren’t taking the time to really study the art of modeling,” she lamented. “It’s just a bunch of girls who think they look cute in selfies, so they automatically start to think that they are models. I took pride in learning how to work my face and my total body to create good work. I see less and less of that today, and it’s sad. I don’t see models anymore. I just see a bunch of fake models.”
Melyssa Ford is set to grace an upcoming cover of rolling out magazine, where you can get more of her take on the modeling industry, and a host of other topics. Stay tuned.
