It’s only been only been a little over a week since Lil Mo announced her split from her estranged husband, Phillip Bryant. Although the sketchy details have left many thinking that the split was abrupt, Mo has revealed in a new interview that things aren’t how they seem. And she’s also revealed that her ring finger won’t be bare for long thanks to her new boyfriend, boxer Karl “Dynamite” Dargan.
On Tuesday, Mo and Dynamite sat down for an interview with Philly’s Hot 107.9 Morning Show. Mo explained that the united front she and Bryant put on for last year’s season of “R&B Divas L.A.” was a lie and that they’re marriage was already going downhill.
“They don’t know that the image that I put out there. I’ll maintain it until the season is over. Even if I, Imma tell you this, I admit because we got season two coming up, and baby it goes. I can’t wait. I don’t know the exact release date but I know this summer. I just know that there was a certain image that I wanted to maintain and that’s the face of family because I believe in that,” Mo said.
Mo has previously said that the truth about their breakup will be revealed during season two, though she has yet to reveal when she and Bryant will make their divorce official.
However, Mo doesn’t seem at all worried or hurt about the split. In fact, she seems totally concerned about tying the knot with Dynamite and blending their two families (she has four kids and he has three) into one.
“I’m like the hood Kim Kardashian, but the ratchet Elizabeth Taylor. I’ll get married 10 times. I’ll always believe in love. I don’t believe in–I’m just not gonna be his girl. Like, we’re going to get married. It’s not a game,” Mo said.
Dynamite agreed that wedding bells are in the future for the two one day.
“Not saying that you know–a marriage is already planned. It’s gonna happen,” said Dynamite.
Well, this is still definitely one whirlwind revelation but we can’t wait to see how it all unfolds of season two of “R&B Divas L.A.” Check out some other surprising splits after the break. – nicholas robinson
