Christians will be familiar with the story of Noah and the flood from the Bible. When God decided to destroy the world with a flood, he tapped Noah to build a gargantuan ship and gather two creatures of every species to repopulate the Earth after the flood waters receded. If you weren’t on that boat, you did not survive the flood.
Imagine undertaking such a monumental task. First of all, building a ship on dry land would make one the object of ridicule, and Noah was undoubtedly skewered. The film brings to life a story that defies belief, and that is also a huge undertaking. This is an eminently watchable and relatable story, for believers and nonbelievers alike. –p.d. lee
