Singer-songwriter Jack White has announced the official release date for his upcoming sophomore album. According to Third Man Records, Lazaretto will be released on June 10, with the debut single of the same name slated to appear later this month.
“Lazaretto inhabits an exciting place in White’s expansive discography as the follow-up to 2012’s gold-certified, international number one, Blunderbuss, and will be preceded by first single and title track ‘Lazaretto,’ to be released later this month,” reads Third Man’s website.
Fans will be happy to know that in anticipation of the new music, White is releasing an instrumental track called “High Ball Stepper.” The video debuted online today.
White’s solo debut, Blunderbuss, was met with widespread critical acclaim, and found its way onto numerous “best of” lists that year. It also landed a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.
