You’ve got to give to Lolo Jones. The track and field star isn’t afraid to start some stuff on social media. She’s drawn controversy for her tweets regarding the controversial 2013 trial of George Zimmerman, the man who was found not guilty of murdering Florida teen Trayvon Martin in 2012. Specifically, Jones made a joke about Martin’s friend Rachel Jeantel, who testified during the trial. “Rachel Jeantel looked so irritated during the cross-examination that I burned it on DVD and I’m going to sell it as Madea goes to court” Jones tweeted at the time. The backlash was swift, and months later, Jones generated further criticism when she dismissed a fan who dressed like her for Halloween.
After the girl tweeted, “Lolo jones 4 Halloween.I just need a hurdle;” Jones responded by tweeting: “And a relaxer. I haven’t rocked curls since h.s :p”
And now, Lolo has decided to poke a little fun and the newest big couple in music: Drake and Rihanna.
