The Steve & Marjorie Harvey Foundation held its 2014 gala at the Chicago Hilton and Towers this past weekend. The dynamic evening of empowerment and entertainment was a celebration and reminder of the purposeful charge to take action and make a difference in the lives of youth nationwide.
Hosted by Steve Harvey and Michelle Relerford of NBC Chicago, the gala’s was the “Power of Three: Potential, Passion and Purpose,” and featured a live performance by Grammy-nominated artist KEM.
Among the night’s honorees were Chicago activist Pastor Corey Brooks; philanthropists and entrepreneurs Magic Johnson and Cookie Johnson; movie executive Clint Culpepper; and executive and author Steve Pemberton, who won the “Helping Hand Award.”
