In 2012 rumors of a Clive Davis-produced Whitney Houston biopic swirled around the Internet, with reports that pop star Rihanna would play the legendary singer.
Since then, the gossip has calmed down and while a Davis production seems to have been lost in translation, Lifetime has decided to jump in and tackle the TV movie.
As previously reported, for the first time in her career, Angela Basset will take a seat behind the camera as the project’s director. And while there have been many rumors as to who will take on the role of Houston in her TV biopic, nothing is concrete.
