If you find Justin Bieber’s antics to be nerve-wrecking, you will cringe when you learn what he did while telling a joke with a group of white friends.
According to a video discovered by TMZ, Bieber was with a group of white friends and one black person when he told a racist joke. Bieber said, “Why are black people afraid of chain saws?” Before delivering the punchline, someone in the background told him, “Don’t say it.” However, he continued with the punchline and said, “Run N—, N—, N—.”
The joke wasn’t funny or witty, it was basically him being racist and arrogant enough to believe that he could get away with it. Although Bieber was only 15 years old at the time, he should’ve known better than to use such language. After all, he was discovered by Usher and has black fans around the world.
Over the past three years, it seems as if Bieber has done everything possible to align himself with black culture and black stars have accepted him. He hangs out with Floyd Mayweather, Tyler the Creator, and rapper Lil Twist to name a few.
Bieber will address his use of the N-word in the response below:
As a kid, I didn’t understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt. I thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokes, but didn’t realize at the time that it wasn’t funny and that in fact my actions were continuing the ignorance.”
Justin goes on, “Thanks to friends and family I learned from my mistakes and grew up and apologized for those wrongs. Now that these mistakes from the past have become public I need to apologize again to all those I have offended.”
Justin continues, “I’m very sorry. I take my friendships with people of all cultures very seriously and I apologize for offending or hurting anyone with my childish and inexcusable mistake. I was a kid then and I am a man now who knows my responsibility to the world and to not make that mistake again.”
And Justin says, “Ignorance has no place in our society and I hope the sharing of my faults can prevent others from making the same mistake in the future. I thought long and hard about what I wanted to say but telling the truth is always what’s right.-Justin Bieber
