Luther Vandross gets a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Luther Vandross, the love balladeer, has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On Tuesday, June 3, close friends, including Clive Davis, Johnny Gill, Marcus Miller and Lalah Hathaway gathered in Hollywood, California, to pay homage to the late R&B singer and celebrate his many accomplishments.
Vandross’ niece, Seveda Williams was also present, as family gathered for the moving ceremony.
Vandross, who died in 2005 at the age of 54, was nominated for 31 Grammys, won eight, and sold more than 25 million records worldwide.
