Hosted by Chicago’s old-school and R&B station, V103, and sponsored by the Black McDonald’s Operators Association Chicago, everyone’s favorite ’90s R&B stars had the ladies screaming last night at the Chicago Theatre.
Performers included Dru Hill, Silk and Shock G of Digital Underground featuring Humpty Hump, DJ Fuze and Peewee. Chicago-based quartet, Public Announcement opened up the concert for a room full of Generations Xers who simply loved all of the hits. Silk got pretty interactive with the audience — bringing girls onto the stage and passing out carnations.
Dru Hill, by far, gave the best performance of the night with Sisqo (yes, his hair was still silver) stealing the show. Check out a few clips from last night’s performances.
The BMOA Chicago’s Block Party is a summer-long series of events — stay tuned!
