The Governors Ball Music Festival got its start in 2011 and initially was a one day event. The festival features varying genres of music and this year’s focus was on local food trucks. The festival has grown to a full weekend and is produced by Founders Entertainment based in New York. Governors Ball is held every year on Randall’s Island in New York City, bringing together thousands of music lovers from all over the United States.
Although last year’s Governors Ball was fun, it was a complete muddy mess! This year, the odds were in our favor. The weather in New York City was bright, sunny and perfect for seeing the hit rap group, OutKast reunited and the lovely Janelle Monae perform.
