Think Like A Man Too co-stars Romany Malco and Meagan Good have worked together three times. They were first paired as a couple in the 2006 Mike Myers’ comedy The Love Guru, and now they’ve been opposite each other in the two Think Like A Man films. Malco spoke to rolling out about sharing the screen with Good, and revealed that he’s come to admire her quirks and feels that she’s maintained a genuine spirit despite being in the glare of the public eye since she was a teen.
“Meagan is a professional,” he says. “And she hasn’t been indoctrinated, in a way—she has her own sense of humor, she has her own perspective on things, she doesn’t have the cookie-cutter responses that most people do.”
Malco says that working with Good so often has helped him better understand that unique perspective and it keeps him on his A-game during serious conversations.
“I talk to her sometimes and I realize that I have to think when I’m talking to her,” says Malco. “Most people say the same things, and that’s cool—it’s part of how we try to be socially accepted by our peers. In school, they didn’t ask us to think critically, they ask us to memorize and thinking uniquely—you could be reprimanded for that. Meagan doesn’t have that problem, at all.”
“With her, it’s the most fun because she’s always coming from some unique, fresh angle,” he shares. “And if you’re not paying attention, you’ll miss it.”
