The 2014 Tony Awards was a big night for my brown sisters with British actress Sophie Okonedo winning the 21014 Tony Award for best performance by an actress in a featured role in a play with her Broadway debut in A Raisin in the Sun and Audra McDonald who won a record-breaking sixth Tony. She snagged best performance by an actress in a leading role in a play for her star turn as Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill.
