Jonah Hill’s been on a nationwide apology tour for using a gay slur, so it’ll be interesting to see what impact that unfortunate incident will have on box-office receipts for 22 Jump Street. Best guess: Fans are not likely to hold it against him.
Reprising their roles as Schmidt (Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum), a pair of bumbling undercover cops who matriculate at a local college to bust up a drug operation, the antics are legendary. These two get into the most inane scenarios ever captured on celluloid, so chalk this one up as a big win for movie lovers who enjoy a good belly laugh. –p.d. lee
