The Game and Kevin Durant have settled their differences and gotten themselves on the same page after what The Game says was a “miscommunication” between the two.
Earlier this week when asked about a bet for $20,000 made with The Game, KD said the Compton rapper was lying and that no such wager was ever made. The Game then took to his Instagram page to call the NBA MVP a “sore loser” for not honoring his word to donate to the rapper’s Frogg All-Stars youth program.
According to The Game, he has since spoken with Durant and determined that the miscommunication arose from reports that the wager was to be a cash transaction and not a donation of $20,000 worth of shoes for a charity.
“He was just talking about we didn’t bet $20,000 cash. I never said we bet $20,000 cash. I just did the numbers. A hundred or more kids, the shoes cost a $150 plus the gear – you do the math it ends up at about $20K,” reasoned Game. “He’s a professional athlete, so I guess the rules are they’re not to gamble on basketball which is very understandable.”
