Nas, ScHoolboy Q and Flying Lotus performed at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater yesterday (June 20) and a shooting occurred in the venue’s parking as the show was ending. According to numerous reports, three people were wounded when the gunfire erupted just outside the amphitheater. Red Rocks was immediately shut down as law enforcement officials searched for the gunman. Authorities stated that they were looking for a black male with a rifle.

Numerous people among the thousands of concert attendees had their vehicles searched by the police as they attempted to leave the premises. No arrests have been made.

The three victims were transferred to Denver, Colorado where they were taken to a nearby hospital by police officials. According to the Associated Press, none of the shooting victims’ wounds appeared to be life-threatening.

It is reported that a journalist for the Denver Post, Karl Gehring, took a photograph of ScHoolboy Q as the rapper was detained by Denver Police. The Denver Post published Gehring’s photograph of the hip-hop star; as well as other news outlets, including ABC.

No official word has been given as to why ScHoolboy Q was detained. The rapper’s camp has not released a statement on the incident. Neither has Nas or the Flying Lotus camp.
