4. Jae X Cohen – “Dimes”
While in L.A., Chicago emcee Jeremiah Jae hooked up with producer Cohen originally from Tel Aviv. Reminds me of a hip-hop Foreign Exchange story. I’m totally a sucker for beats and instrumentals, but Jae’s flow is welcome as he muses deftly about “hoppin’ off 79th” bluesy beat that doesn’t forget it’s hip-hop side.
