Start your Sunday with some fresh Twitter drama.
Socio-political commentator Marc Lamont Hill ticked off a hip-hop legend late last night and had all of Twitter laughing at his reaction to the controversy this morning. Big Boi took exception to Hill’s tweet as OutKast was performing in Los Angeles for the BET Experience, and Hill learned a valuable lesson regarding why you shouldn’t talk smack via Twitter while a rapper is performing onstage. It all started when Marc Lamont Hill took a shot at the OutKast rapper during his solo set at Staples Center last night:
So Big Boi is doing his solo set now. This is where the homie @bomani_jones turns up… and I check my email.

Not a good idea to diss an artist while they’re onstage. Because Big saw Hill’s tweet and, according to Hill, the rapper immediately dissed the CNN and Huffington Post Live commentator.
Big Boi just called me a b**** on stage. Wow.

Then Hill kept reacting.
I’m guessing this is about my tweet. I actually was just clowning my homie bc we had a debate about which Outkast member was better. @bigboi

And kept reacting.
I been an Outkast (both of them) fan since ’94. Was teasing my homie and had no disrespect intended for @BigBoi.

And kept reacting.
I see how that tweet sounded and I get I was wrong for that. But that stage shit was still OD, my kid there or not. @BigBoi

Before he finally let it go.
Anyway, not gonna say anything else about it. Real stuff happening in the world. Mistakes and miscommunications happen. Just surprised me.
