R&B singer Russell Neal from Hi-Five is currently in police custody and his wife has been found dead inside their apartment. Neal reportedly told the cops his wife’s body was inside their apartment and said that he needed to hire a lawyer.

According to reports, Neal told Houston police officers that he and his wife had gotten into an argument earlier on Wednesday. TMZ says that Neal reportedly then asked for a lawyer and offered no further details as to what had happened.

Hi-Five was one of the 90’s most popular teen R&B groups, with hits like “I Like the Way (The Kissing Game),” “She’s Playing Hard to Get,” and the R. Kelly-penned “Quality Time.”

Tony Thompson, the group’s former lead singer, died in 2007 from Freon inhalation.

Currently, no charges have been filed against Neal. The group’s attorney told TMZ that, “We are aware of the situation and are presently evaluating it.”
