Lamar Odom has learned the hard way what happens when you betray a family like the Kardashians who have a huge social media following. Over the past few years, Odom’s basketball career has nosedived. His future in the NBA is uncertain since the cheating rumors and his very public divorce from Khloé Kardashian.
Phil Jackson made a surprising announcement Friday, July 11. “Unfortunately, Lamar was unable to uphold the standards to return as an NBA player,” he said in a statement. “We found it necessary to free up the roster spot.” The Knicks found it imperative to make room for another player in the 2014-15 NBA season.
Since Kardashian filed for a divorce in December 2013, fans hoped to see Odom refocus on being an NBA All-Star again, commit to training and get in shape for the season.
