The Rock pays tribute to Paul Walker during Shark Week
Fast and Furious franchise star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is paying tribute to his close friend Paul Walker in a pretty impressive way.
Over the weekend, Johnson debuted a short clip on Instagram, shot for Discovery’s Shark Week, where he takes a looks back at the actor’s life both on and off screen; including his love and dedication to marine life.
He wrote:
“Was moved to shoot this very special intro to one of Paul Walker’s final missions for shark and marine conservation. #DiscoveryChannel #SharkWeek #ProtectingThatWhichILove #MissYouBrotherPaul”
Long before Walker made it big in Hollywood, the actor whose life was cut short when he passed away in a car crash on Nov. 30, 2013, studied marine biology in college. He was also heavily involved in using his celebrity influence to shine light on The BillFish Foundation.
To view Johnson’s entire Paul Walker tribute, tune in tonight, Aug. 10, as “Shark Week” kicks off at 8 EST on Discovery. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
