Larika Page shares how the skateboard culture inspired her new fashion collection

Larika Page is no rookie to the fashion scene. Having debuted and won “Emerging Designer of the Year” at Charleston Fashion Week in 2010, she’s showcased sewing prowess making her name recognizable among industry notables like Cynthia Rowley and Anna Slowey.

“My aesthetic is high fashion, youthful sophistication for the woman embarking on her new career from college. She’s a visionary and her sense of style speaks volumes. This Street Surfing collection is inspired by the skateboard culture,” says Page about the collection that she’s showcasing at RAGTRADE Atlanta on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at the W Hotel Atlanta in Buckhead.

“My son is an avid skateboarder. I am very inspired by the architecture and the color scale of the various skate parks I’ve visited. With that said, I am staying very true to my aesthetic, but adding a hint of androgyny utilizing fabrics such as silk, linen; and I like to work with natural fibers,” she closes.
