Salon Saison‘s Tammi Dotson has created a classy and sassy signature masterpiece; a 1920s fishtail bun with twists and wand curls. This style is really a design, bringing together vintage and modern trends while adding a romantic flair. Strutting down the aisle, brides and bridesmaids can rock this look, impress your colleagues, your date, and or rock it just ’cause you’re fancy. How do you maintain this look? “Sleep on your chin …” Dotson half jokes.
“Please remember to always get your hair done at least every six to eight weeks, get scalp and hair treatments [she recommends Renee Furturer and Design Essentials], scalp and split end treatments. It’s very important that your hair stylist monitors your hair so that if any adjustments need to be made, they can be made pronto. … Remember, true happiness comes from heaven and healthy hair,” she says.
Here are the steps Dotson took to create this look;
Step 1: Cleansed and conditioned hair thoroughly in order to maintain a healthy scalp
Step 2: Infused tons of moisture and nutrients into her hair shaft and sealed it with an ionic blow dryer
Step 3: Wand curled hair throughout for volume and body
Step 4: Added 1920s finger waves on the side of her hair
Step 5: Twisted the left side
Step 6: Two fishtail braids in the back and twisted/pinned into a bun.
