Earlier this week, fans were shocked to learn that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have been living apart for months and on the road to divorce. Cannon confirmed the news yesterday with a brief statement about their separation, but if fans think he’s going to spill any more details about plans for a divorce, they might want to think again.
According to TMZ, Cannon and Carey’s lawyers crafted a one-sided confidentiality agreement that bars Cannon from spilling any details about the divorce. However, Carey will have full rights to disclose any information she wants about the divorce to the public.
Cannon is, however, allowed to say that they are living separately, which he’s already done. But Cannon is following the agreement and chose to remain mum about any divorce plans.
“There is trouble in paradise. We have been living in separate houses for a few months,” said Cannon in an interview with “The Insider.”
In that case, we won’t be surprised if Carey announces the final nail in the coffin for their marriage in the near future. – nicholas robinson
