Mimi Faust explains why she hasn’t sought therapy

Mimi's Sex Tape Is Released

No one would argue that Mimi Faust has been through a lot of damaging situations ever since she joined the cast of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.” After dealing with two failed, dysfunctional relationships, a sex tape leak, the death of her mother and father, and the loss of several friends, any woman in her shoes would rightfully seek therapy. And although she has yet to seek professional help, she hasn’t ruled it out just yet.

“That was on my list of things to do, was to really sit down and talk to someone,” Faust said in a recent interview with Sister 2 Sister about her trials and tribulations on the show.

Faust explains that she has not sought therapy yet because she’s still relying on the help of her trusted friends.

“My circle is small and I stay to myself. I have a few select friends and family members that I talk to and that’s just what it is,” she said. “I just deal with it internally.”

Faust says she hasn’t exactly ruled out therapy, but she says her method of dealing with her mental stressors works for her, for now.

“I really don’t know any other way to do it. I haven’t driven off a cliff yet, and I won’t,” she said. “I’m in a great space.”

Well, everyone has their own way of dealing with stress, but we wouldn’t blame Faust at all if she ever decides to open up to a professional about her feelings. In fact, we’d praise her for it. – nicholas robinson.
