Former Baltimore Raven Ray Rice breaks his silence for the first time since his indefinite suspension from the NFL.

During a phone interview with ESPN, the disgraced athlete said…

“‘I have to be strong for my wife,’ said Rice. ‘[Janay] is so strong. We are in good spirits.’

‘We have a lot of people praying for us and we’ll continue to support each other. I have to be there for [Janay] and my family right now and work through this.’

His wife added…

‘I love my husband. I support him. I want people to respect our privacy in this family matter.'”

Later on CNN, Rice noted that he is just trying to stay strong for his loved ones.

Over the weekend, new footage of Rice surfaced on TMZ aka Big Brother, showcasing the disturbing event of him knocking out his then girlfriend Janay Palmer. The aftermath resulted not only in his indefinite suspension from the Ravens but loss of his childhood dream to compete in the NFL. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie

What does that even mean, “He’s staying strong for his wife”???? You freakin cold cocked her and we are sure this isn’t the first or last…how about you need to be saying how you are going to get help, because he needs it!

You or anybody else don’t know. If he was a girlfriend or wife batterer, do you think she would have slapped him then later aggressively attacked him in the elevator? The man made a mistake, but that is no reason to take his livelihood. It would be more beneficial if was required to get counseling prior to reinstating him. People need to stop being so judgmental. You idiot….from reports about the incident. ..she was hitting him outside of the elevator and then continued her assault on him. ..He is only human…He had enough so he knocked her ass out….you morons call for equal rights for women and yet hold that men are not to defend themselves against women who are overly aggressive and or violent towards them…you can’t have it both ways. …
