Chicago through God’s blue filter

chicago coastline

The city of Chicago has a fabulous coastline. The view from above the clouds creates an atmosphere that is anything but static from the ground. Complete with a very urban composition that gives voice to premeditated planning and a environmental dance hall complexity. It is the neighborhoods and cultural diversity that make up the wiring of each of the restaurant districts and kitchens that allow chefs to innovate.

From above the clouds the beach invites volleyball games and outdoor activities that seem more like California than Chicago. Chicago has no second cousin as it relates to cities whose feelings are based in the American way of diversity. From Eastern European to Chinatown and the DuSable Museum, Chicago networks its inhabitants through a maze of immigration points. Each neighborhood houses favorite dishes and family traditions that are near and dear to the Chicago personality.

The natural blue filter that God placed on this day proved to be poetic in its palette choice. The color uses words through our optical lenses that stretch our imagination to play inside this moment that we see. There is no book to describe the moment where blue is a feeling that can place the taste and smell of a color into one’s mind.

Take a moment to experience a blue Chicago through the lens of only God’s blue filter.
