Finally a longstanding beef is put to rest.
The nearly four-year war of words between NBA superstar Kevin Durant and unorthodox rapper, Lil B The Based God, looks to be a thing of the past.
In 2011, Durant tweeted that he tried to listen to Lil B’s music but couldn’t do it and had a hard time believing that Lil B was “relevant” in the hip-hop landscape. Lil B’s loyal followers quickly went in on Durant and soon thereafter “The Based God Curse” was supposedly placed on Durant prohibiting him from winning a championship. As luck would have it, Durant has yet to win it all, much to the delight of Lil B’s fans.
Lil B even went so far as to record a diss record about the situation entitled “F— KD,” but as Durant recently told Revolt TV, he didn’t believe in the curse and was just growing weary of the semi make believe beef.
“Curse? I keep hearing it. Every time I saw it on Twitter and Instagram, it’s this Lil B stuff coming up. I don’t have no problem with Lil B,” Durant said. “He’s got so many fans, it’s starting to get on my nerves … Just to get them people away from me — me and Lil B are cool.”
