Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey have remained civil and kind to each other in public ever since news of their divorce surfaced last month. But things seemed to get personal this week when Cannon revealed that he’d covered up his famous “Mariah” back tattoo. And now it appears that Carey may have taken a jab at Cannon during a recent concert.
According to TMZ, Carey was performing on tour in Tokyo when she performed Billie Holiday’s “Don’t Explain,” a song about lover with a wandering eye.
Although the original lyrics for the song are “And I know you cheat/Right or wrong, don’t matter,” Carey seemed to change them and sing “I know you cheated motherf—–/Right or wrong, don’t matter.”
Carey’s supposed diss comes on the heel of rumors that Cannon was having an affair with soon-to-be-divorced celeb Amber Rose, whom he began managing recently. However, later reports claim that Rose is actually rebounding with celeb Nick Simmons.
We’re not sure if Carey added the curse word for emphasis or if it was aimed at Cannon, but it’s definitely got fans wondering what’s really going on behind closed doors. – nicholas robinson
