Atlanta has Ebony style. The spectacular fashion exhibition, “Inspiring Beauty: 50 Years of Ebony Fashion Fair,” now showing at Museum of Design Atlanta is a powerful display of Eunice Johnson’s career-long vision to showcase iconic fashion and introduce couture to aspiring black audiences while raising money for charities — totaling more than $50 million over five decades.
Ebony Fashion Fair toured the globe and played a major role in increasing the visibility of black designers, including Stephen Burrows, Patrick Kelly and B Michael.
