Rumors began surfacing this week that Porsha Williams was getting her own “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” spin-off. And though fans questioned the validity of the rumor, Williams has now come forward and confirmed that the rumor is true.
As previously reported, the rumor came on the heels of Williams being demoted on “RHOA” and being replaced by new full-time cast member Claudia Jordan. But the rumor claimed that the demotion was just a way for Bravo to sign Williams on to a new show, which she spoke about on “Dish Nation.”
At first, Williams tried to remain mum on the subject. “I haven’t spoken to anyone from Bravo who said they’re going to be releasing any information like that,” she said, adding that she couldn’t confirm whether she was getting her own show or not.
However, she eventually confirmed that there is a project in the works and that she’s helping to oversee it.
“I am working on a project, this is true. And it is for TV and I am executive producing it,” she revealed.
Well, clearly it’s a spin-off of sorts, and we’re interested to see just exactly what the show is going to be about. –nicholas robinson
