Christopher Nolen’s ’72 Hours’ premieres in Chicago

Hundreds of Chicagoans flocked to south 87th Street to check out the heavily buzzed about new film Christopher Nolen’s 72 Hours when it premiered at the Studio Movie Grill in the famed Chatham neighborhood last week.

Actors Timon Kyle Durrett and Thea Camara attended the screening, which sold out for both available nights, and greeted fans afterwards.The film centers around a reformed womanizer, Cleavon “Von” Burkett (Timon Kyle Durrett), who was living the good life with a beautiful wife (Erica Hubbard) and dream job — until one day he wasn’t. After suffering a heart attack, God (Harry Lennix)  gives Von 72 hours to make amends with all of his exes — or he dies. With the help of his best friend (Brian Hooks) and the determination to live, Von embarks on a hilarious journey to seek forgiveness and soon realizes that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.


72 Hours was written and directed by Chicago native Christopher Nolen and shot entirely in the Windy City. The film also stars Terri J. Vaughn, Brely Evans, Cynda Williams, Tangi Miller and Chyna Layne.
