I signaled to come over Katie to ask about the shaking and she explained that Barre3 uses a signature 3-step sequence that are low-impact and designed to burn fat, build muscle and break through plateaus. The shakes were my body’s way of taking it to the next level and Katie told me to embrace them, but to also check in with my body and modify my movements if needed.
We finished off with some abdominal work and a few stretches that help flush out the body and by the end of the class, I was beat!
The next morning I felt some tightness in my thighs, core and shoulder-blades, but in a good way. I felt like I had, had a really good , deep, full-body stretch, which is exactly how you should feel after a barre class.
I enjoyed my class at Barre3 and plan on continuing to take Katie’s class when I’m not traveling. And for those days when I am traveling? Luckily, Barre3 offers online workouts as well as an app so you can work out from anywhere.
