Award-winning filmmaker Ava DuVernay, who recently nabbed four Golden Globe nominations for the movie Selma and is an honorary member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., requested the movie ad for the historical drama removed from VH1’s rotation during the airing of “Sorority Sisters.”
Hallmark has followed suit.
