Sony cancelled the The Interview’s December 25 release date last week after AMC, Regal Cinemas, Carmike, et al. caved to terroristic threats. Today, the Daily Beast reports the film will be released but no one is saying exactly how. There are rumors it could be made available on Crackle, the Sony-owned streaming service.
“Sony only delayed this,” says company attorney David Boies on today’s NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“It will be distributed.” He didn’t confirm how they plan to proceed with the release. “How it’s going to be distributed, I don’t think anybody knows quite yet, but it’s going to be distributed,” he said.
