Rapper Azealia Banks believes that it’s time for America to finally pay Black people slave reparations. During her latest Twitter episode, Banks was furious over the fact that other ethnicities have received money for reparations and Black people have yet to receive a dime from the U.S. Government.
She said that companies such as JP Morgan Chase, New York Life, and Aetna profited from slavery and are still thriving today. Banks also posted a link from an article that was published by Slate that detailed why Black people should receive reparations.
She also posted a link from Atlanta Black Star of the 15 major corporations that profited from slavery and a CNN link of the U.S. Government’s $3.4 billion settlement with American Indians.
