While many celebrities brought the new year in with a bang, one celebrity, Nelly, dealt with the loss of his loved one — his grandmother.
In a recent Instagram post, the “Nellyville” star praised his Nana’s strength and credited her for shaping him into the man he is today. He wrote,
“Today around 6am I lost One of the strongest women to ever grace this planet my granny was A LADY in every sense of the word..R.I.P GRANNY… .. My strength is with my father and his two sisters for they have endured so much in the past 10 to12months ..!! #HAYNESFAMILY …..”
Later on, the rapper posted a classy throwback image of his grandmother, alongside her late husband.
“YA queen ON HER WAY PAPA….!!!Back together again..!!!! 61years together in life .!!eternity thereafter…!! #HAYNESFAMILY #RIPGRANNY,” Nelly wrote.
Truly this is a sad loss for all of Nellyville. Our prayers and condolences go out to Nelly and his loved ones.
