J. Cole has done a surprisingly god job of keeping his 10-year romance with his on-again, off-again college sweetheart Melissa Heholt under wraps since he made it big five years ago, choosing only to divulge details about their relationship in his deeply confessional songs about their undying love and his infidelity. But rumor has it that Cole and Heholt are finally cementing their relationship and have decided to tie the knot.
According to Sister 2 Sister, sources claim that Cole and Heholt initially got engaged in 2010, but nothing ever seemed to come of their engagement and no ring was spotted either. Last year, Cole and Heholt had allegedly split and he was rumored to have gotten a girl named Bria pregnant.
Since then, fans haven’t heard anything else about Cole’s relationship with Bria or Heholt, but this week several sources reportedly claimed that Cole proposed to Heholt again with a four-carat diamond ring. The sources also claim that Cole and Heholt have a secret date and location in mind as well.
Nothing else is known about the alleged engagement, but if it is true we hope that Cole and Heholt have a beautiful wedding and that they finally settle into a healthy and peaceful relationship.
