Last year, Mama Joyce swore that she’d stop bashing Todd Tucker and back off of her daughter Kandi Burruss’ marriage with him. But earlier this month, it seemed like Joyce was back to her old self and bashing Tucker, once again. Now, Burruss is opening up about their relationship and saying she thinks it’s getting better.
Burruss talked about the rocky relationship between her mother and husband during last night’s “Watch What Happens Live” when a fan asked her about the luxury car she gave to Tucker during the latest episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
“Well, she didn’t say anything about the car, but she has come around,” Burruss shared. “No, seriously. Things have gotten a lot better lately. They are communicating a lot better, she is a lot more supportive.”
Burruss went on to explain that the sudden death of Tucker’s mom, Miss Sharon, did play a role in the two getting along better these days.
“Well, I don’t think it was just that. Of course, when something like that happens that makes everybody come together and realize, like, sometimes we can be petty about some things that we shouldn’t really trip about.”
“At the same time, I think he has also gained her respect over time because in the beginning she thought he wanted to live off of me and Todd has gone on to executive produce his own shows and everything since then.
Well, we’re glad that things are better now between the two at home and we hope that Joyce and Tucker can really become genuine friends and family one day.
