Porsha Williams and her fans were thrown quite the devastating curveball last year when it was announced that she’d been demoted from full-time “housewife” to “friend” on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Although Williams eventually claimed that she was fine with the decision and moving on to a new show, she recently shared that she’s had a change of heart.
In a new interview with RadarOnline, Williams explains that she wants to reclaim her peach for the next season of “RHOA.”
“It would surprise me if it wasn’t offered just because of the response that I get through all of my social media,” Williams explained.
“I see a lot of people who are very vocal about [the fact that] they want to see more of [me], more of my story, where’s my life now, what I am doing with my businesses,” she added. “They’re very interested and I think that’s a great thing.”
Williams explained that after she was demoted, she needed time to decide whether being a “housewife” was something she even wanted anymore.
“I really had to do some soul searching and see if it was the right thing for me and I feel like I’m in a good place right now,” she said.
But Williams says that she eventually decided that coming back would be the best choice for her.
“I signed up for reality television three years ago, so why not follow it through?” she explained. “I’ve been going back and forth in my mind with that. My supporters are amazing and they have really been warriors for getting me back on the show and wanting me to get a peach again.”
Williams explained that despite only being a “friend of” this season of the show, she’s been an integral part of the show anyway.
“Even though I wasn’t a full-time housewife, I was very much very vocal this season,” Williams said. “I was around and I was a part of every single storyline as you can see. I think I’m ready for that type of spotlight again. So I would be looking forward to it. I would if that were the case.”
Well, Williams may consider herself to be pivotal to the show, but from a viewer’s perspective, we’re still trying to figure out what her role is now besides being NeNe Leakes’ new side BFF and Claudia Jordan’s enemy.
