The Chicago Police Department apparently has something in common with the CIA — secret detention centers. According to a report from the Guardian, Chicago has been operating a secret interrogation center at a warehouse on Chicago’s West Side. The facility is called Homan Square.
The report states that practices by the police include:
–Keeping arrestees out of official booking databases.
–Beatings by police, resulting in head wounds.
–Shackling for prolonged periods.
–Denying attorneys access to the “secure” facility.
–Holding people without legal counsel for between 12 and 24 hours, including people as young as 15.

Thanks for sharing this. I’ve been trying to get the word out about this place for a couple of years now.
Militarization of our police force armed and trained to use the same tactics on american citizens that were used in Guantanamo for “terrorist”.
