Gunfire erupted in a Charlotte, North Carolina, nightclub where rappers Jeezy, T.I., and Yo Gotti were performing on Feb. 28.
“Two people were injured with gunshot wounds. One person drove themselves to the hospital and one person was transported by ambulance. Both are non-life-threatening injuries,” said Captain J.D. Thomas of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
The shooting occurred at Label nightclub, which was hosting a “CIAA Weekend Takeover” party around 7 p.m. The event was loosely affiliated with the increasingly popular annual Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association basketball tournament.
Sources say the rappers were on stage and took cover when the shooting happened.
Police are unclear as to who the actual targets of the gunfire were and are investigating the incident.
No arrests have been made thus far.
