As previously reported, Ford was piloting a vintage two-seater fighter plane on Thursday, when something went wrong and he was forced to crash-land onto Penmar golf course in Venice, California. When paramedics arrived, Ford was “alert and conscious” and suffering “moderate trauma,” Patrick Butler, Los Angeles assistant fire chief, told the media at the scene during a press conference on Thursday.
Oddly enough, this was not Ford’s first incident involving a plane crash. In 2000, he made a crash-landing in Nebraska, just months after crashing a helicopter in Los Angeles.
