Kandi Burruss shocked by rift with Phaedra Parks

Bravo

Kandi Burruss and Phaedra Parks once had one of the best friendships in reality TV history, but like most reality TV friendships their’s has become strained by gossip and drama. During last night’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” the rift continued to be perpetuated by cast mates and now Burruss is opening up about her friendship with Parks and saying she was shocked to find Parks had a problem with her.

During last night’s episode, Parks confided in Porsha Williams that she feels Burruss has been’t there for her during her divorce and that she didn’t defend her against Kenya Moore.

When NeNe Leakes invited most of the cast to join her in a group counseling session to try to fix the growing divide between the ladies, Burruss declined, but was then shocked to learn from Leakes and Porsha Williams that Parks had an issue with her.

“I thought it was a waste of my time, but that’s because I didn’t know what Phaedra was saying behind my back. It’s crazy watching the show and hearing Porsha and Phaedra discuss how I’m not a friend and that I’m siding with Apollo because my husband and Apollo are friends, and blah, blah, blah. At the time that they had that conversation, I didn’t even know Phaedra had a problem with me like that,” Burruss wrote in her latest Bravo blog post.

Burruss went on to explain that, despite what her cast mates say, she’s stood up for Parks more than anyone else on the show.

“I have argued with Todd defending Phaedra. I have defended Phaedra when Apollo came around talking B.S. to everyone about their relationship. There have been plenty of times that I have taken up for Phaedra. No one can say that I have taken anybody’s side against her. Last week at the dinner Phaedra was sitting next to NeNe and Porsha. I was on the other side of the table. They were the closest to her, so they should’ve been the first to grab her. They are her friends too … right? There is so much more I could say on this subject, but I’m going to let it go,” Burruss explained.

To us, it seems like a simple case of miscommunication between Parks and Burruss, but miscommunications can lead to feuds and to the permanent end of friendships. Hopefully, these two can squash their beef by the time of the reunion, but if they don’t, it will just be another case of a reality TV friendship biting the dust.
