Joey Casselberry seems to have an issue with young Black girls who have achieved success in sports. According to a report by Philly.com, Casselberry was upset that Mo’Ne Davis was chosen as the subject of a biopic that will be broadcast by the Disney Channel.

After the announcement regarding the film was made last week, Casselberry expressed his anger on Twitter, tweeting, “Disney is making a movie about Mo’ne Davis? What a joke. That slut got rocked by Nevada.”

The tweet soon went viral and Casselberry received severe backlash from other Twitter users. The tweet eventually reached Casselberry’s college baseball team at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Once the school’s athletic director learned about the tweet, Casselberry was dismissed from the team.

Casselberry later apologized for calling Davis a slut and deactivated his Twitter account.
