Phaedra considers divorce
Although Phaedra didn’t go to the therapy session, she does invite Sarah Jakes, the daughter of Bishop T.D. Jakes, who has gone through a public divorce, over to her home to talk about her broken marriage. Phaedra cries as she explains to Sarah that her life has been hell over the past several months. She says that she stuck with Apollo because she didn’t want people to think she was an unsupportive wife, but she says her marriage hasn’t been peaceful for years. Later on, Phaedra meets with a family lawyer and explains that her 5-year-old marriage began going south a few years ago when Apollo became more concerned with partying and fighting than being a family man. The lawyer questions Phaedra about why she married a criminal, but she says that she believed he would change. Phaedra is convinced that she needs to divorce Apollo and her pre-nup will protect her money, but her lawyer advises her to take the divorce slowly to work on a parenting plan with Apollo.
