Angelina Jolie and more Kids’ Choice Awards winners

Last night, Nickelodeon’s 28th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards kicked off in Los Angeles with a lot of screams, laughs and, of course, slime. But it was actress and activist Angelina Jolie’s touching speech that inspired Saturday’s young audience.

After accepting her award for Favorite Villain, the 39-year-old actress, who made her first post-surgery appearance at the show, with kids Zahara and Shiloh, reminded fans of all ages, to never be afraid of being themselves. “Different is good. So, don’t fit,” the mother of six said. “Don’t ever try to be less than what you are, and when someone tells you that you are different, smile and hold your head up high and be proud.”


The Maleficent star went on to share with viewers, that growing up, she was never one to fit in with the crowd. As a result, she learned to embrace what made her stand out from the rest. For a look at who else won a special award at Saturday’s big show, scroll below:
