Is Nick Cannon spilling the beans on his relationship with his ex-wife, Mariah Carey? It’s no secret, that Carey can be a quite the handful … as a matter of a fact, rumors allege it was the “We Belong Together” recording artist’s diva tendencies that tore them apart. But is Cannon really ready to jeopardize his relationship with the woman he once loved and his family, by telling all?
According to the Daily Mail, Cannon demanded $30M to settle his divorce from Carey, even though their prenup called for less, and when she refused, Cannon inked a deal with an imprint of Simon & Schuster, Gallery Books to pen and publish his memoir.
Now, a “disappointed” Cannon has come forward to diffuse the rumors. In a recent interview with “Extra” he said, “You know what? I’m extremely disappointed with everyone in the media for even believing ridiculous, silly rumors. I see it on television and people tweeting about it.
“It’s a sad state where people can make up just whatever they want and it actually becomes news. People like to perpetuate negativity and it’s really sad when you see people feed into it.”
Cannon continued by commenting on having a “nice” Easter with Mariah and his children.
So for all you negativity lovers out there, it looks like this rumor has been squashed.
Last December, Cannon filed for divorce after six years of marriage to the pop diva.
